About Brown & Cognac Moroccan Leather Poufs
Brown is the classic color of Moroccan leather, and the easiest to live with. This collection brings together our brown Moroccan leather poufs, from light honey tan and caramel to cognac, chestnut and deep dark brown.
Warm browns sit naturally with oak and walnut furniture, cream or ivory sofas, linen and wool. Choose a plain pouf such as Cognac Brown or Honey Tan for a quiet, modern look, or an embroidered design such as Chestnut Brown or Caramel for more pattern. Square brown poufs work well as a tray stand or at the foot of a bed.
Every pouf is handmade by artisans in Fez and Marrakech from genuine goatskin leather and shipped as an unstuffed cover, ready to fill to the firmness you like. Natural variations in tone and grain are part of each piece.

Beyond the object · The hands behind the craft
Moroccan craftsmanship, passed from hand to hand
In Morocco, leatherwork is more than a finish or a decorative detail. It is a craft shaped by practice, patience and the knowledge shared between generations. From the historic medinas of Fez (Fès) to the workshops and artisan markets of Marrakech, leatherworking remains an important part of the country's creative heritage.
Behind an artisan-made leather pouf are thoughtful steps: selecting the leather, preparing the pieces, cutting, arranging decorative details, stitching and finishing. Each stage asks for attention and practiced hands. A finished piece may look simple, but the care involved is easy to overlook.
As production becomes increasingly standardized, traditional skills can face pressure. Choosing independent craftsmanship is one way to appreciate the knowledge and human work behind handmade objects. Our poufs are handmade by artisans in Fez and Marrakech.
