A process built on patience
Every Moroccan leather pouf begins as a collection of separate panels. Its final shape depends on careful cutting, consistent alignment, and strong hand-finished seams.
1. Selecting the leather
Leather is chosen for its strength, grain, and natural character. Small variations in texture and tone are expected in a natural material.
2. Cutting the panels
The hide is divided into geometric panels that create the rounded silhouette of the pouf. Accuracy at this stage helps the finished piece hold an even shape.
3. Building the pattern
Panels are arranged and decorative details are added according to the design. Each piece is assembled progressively rather than produced as a single molded form.
4. Stitching and finishing
The seams are joined and finished by hand. The completed cover is inspected before it is prepared for its journey.
The maker’s signature
Handwork creates small differences from one pouf to another. A line may vary slightly, the grain may be more visible in one panel, or the color may respond differently to light. These details are not defects; they are part of the piece’s individual character.
